Wolfburn Manzanilla Cask Finish - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Aged 7 Years, 46 % vol / 1.900 Bottles Nach einer Erstreifung in Bourbon Barrels erfolgte ein Finish in spanischer Eiche, die vorher besten Manzanilla Sherry enthielt. Als die leeren Fässer die Brennerei erreichten, war nach der ersten „Schnupperprobe“ klar, dass sie hervorragende Qualität boten und dass Ergebnis nach der Schlussreifung spricht für sich. Die trockenen edlen Sherry Noten ergänzen wunderbar den fruchtig-süßen Wolfburn Whisky zu einem üppigen und komplexen Dram.

Abgefüllt wie immer bei den Wolfburn Small Batch Releases in 46%, in Natural Colour, ohne Kühlfiltrierung und selbstverständlich, wie alle Wolfburn, highly drinkable! ;-)

Die Tasting-Notes: 

ON THE NOSE
Golden syrup meets cashew nut butter, overlaid with seductive vinous tones. An exceptional depth of sweet aromas. ON THE 

PALATE
There’s a wonderful oily richness to this dram – it coats the palate and the flavours just keep unfurling. Classic dry Manzanilla tones lead to rich fruit flavours: sultanas and plums and dates, with subtle hints of toffee and honey.

 FINISH
Sweet wine and fruit flavours fade gently away, leaving a lingering hint of caramel.
